Other ways of how to measure at home
For length, the easiest way to measure your child at home is to have them stand on a piece of card (an empty cereal packet is fine) and either fold up the card by their heel, stand them against a wall or mark with a pencil the position of their heel. Then put a pencil mark where the longest toe comes to. Measure with a ruler the distance between the heel mark and the toe mark. Do this for both feet as one is often longer than the other. The longest measurement is the one you should use.
Suitable for medium- wide feet but quite shallow so very high arches may not be accomodated unless a slimmer foot.
